Smart Gujarati Panchang ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information through our mobile application.

Data Safety Commitment: We do not collect or share any sensitive personal user data. All app features are designed with a "Privacy by Default" approach.

1. Information Collection and Use

Our app is designed to work without requiring users to create an account or provide personal identity details like names or phone numbers.

1.1 Location Data

Smart Gujarati Panchang DOES NOT collect, use, or share your precise GPS location. To provide you with accurate Tithi and Choghadiya timings while maintaining 100% privacy, the app uses a pre-configured cultural center (Ahmedabad, Gujarat) for all calculations. No location permissions are requested from the user.

1.2 Personalization & Preferences

Preferences you set within the app (such as your Rashi selection or saved favorites) are stored locally on your device using secure internal storage. This data is never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third parties.

2. Third-Party Data Sharing

To provide essential services, we integrate with the following third-party SDKs which may collect certain device-level identifiers:

  • Google Play Services: Used for core app functionality and security.
  • Google AdMob: Used for delivering advertisements. AdMob may collect and use Device IDs (like Android Advertising ID) to show relevant ads.
  • OneSignal: Used for sending push notifications. OneSignal may collect unique Device Identifiers to ensure messages reach your device.

3. Advertising Policy

We use Google AdMob to fund the development of this free service. AdMob uses the Android Advertising ID to personalize ads and for frequency capping/attribution. You can reset or opt-out of these identifiers at any time via your device's Google Settings > Ads menu.

4. Data Encryption & Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between the app and any necessary service endpoints is encrypted using HTTPS (SSL/TLS) protocols to prevent unauthorized interception.

5. Data Deletion & User Rights

Since our app does not require a user account, we do not store any personal profiles on our servers. You have complete control over the data stored on your device:

  • Clearing Data: You can delete all your stored preferences (like Rashi) at any time by clearing the app's cache and storage in your device's system settings.
  • Uninstallation: Uninstalling the app will automatically remove all locally stored data associated with the application.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with any information, we will take immediate steps to delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for legal/regulatory reasons. Significant changes will be notified via a notice within the app.
